I swear just the other day I saw a tree blossoming - signaling to all of us that the mild, yet just-cold-enough-to-complain-about winter was indeed over. Apparently the tree had no idea where it was or it would have waited until at LEAST early June to bust out the blooms. It is currently dumping snow here and there isn't an end in sight! Its a Spring blizzard.
I know I shouldn't complain considering how dry our climate is and how much the hippies tell me we need the moisture. But ever since I was a kid, I have held my breath until late March, hoping that the snow is done for the season. I figure once I make it to the last week of the month without major incident I am free to tuck away scarves and mittens in the depths of my dresser and look forward to a sunny season of flip flops and BBQ's. I am always wrong. There is always one last F-U from El Nino (or God) in the form of a big lame snow storm. It has been known to snow in May in Colorado! Oh well, I guess its good I am moving to LA!
