Daylight is good at arriving at the right time

Whelp. I kind of can't believe its been nearly a year since I moved to LA. In some ways it seems like a lot has happened. But then again sometimes it feels like nothing has changed. There is a lesson to be learned there I am sure.

The weather here is mild yet somewhat evasive, which means the sky often looks like this.

On the nice days you get the opportunity to lounge in cabanas at fancy boutique hotels over a nice meal with friends old and new. The Avalon Hotel is somewhat of a secret treasure. I am sure it gets crowded on the weekends, but mostly it just looks like this.

Erica and dreamy baby Ava. No flash on these photos as I didn't want to blind the babe.

Also had a mini-visit in San Diego. Here is Hector playing Play-Doh with LJ.

He kept telling her not to mix the colors. Hilarious!

She is like a little person now. And true to form for our family, she is also a little bit of a ham.
She is saying "Cheese" as in "Smile for the camera". And how adorable is the cat sound?

Being an aunt is pretty great. You get to hang out and have fun and then go home to your own house! I highly recommend it.
