Hot Ball

The Parkes' came to town! They are one of the few married couples that I can stand to hang out with for long periods of time mainly because they are BOTH flipping awesome.

We went to dinner at some Italian place with big bottles of wine. This is Jill partaking in the group sing along of "That's Amore"

Parker claims he got his shiner from playing "softball".

It was fun but super packed. I got accused of having sex in the bathroom because it took me so long to pee.

Game day!

This was shortly after we arrived. The Parkes' were pumped. (PS there were an inexplicable amount of preggos at the game. Breeders!!)

Then we realized that it was 90 degrees with no clouds or breeze

Mere seconds before I took this photo a cockroach-like bug was crawling on this grandma's neck. BLECH

We had good seats though.

 

Joy and I moved back a few rows to sit in the shade while everyone else stayed in the sun. Dont they look miserable?

And ice cream

I may have documented the only known instance of Joy eating ice cream. She has pretty much shunned it ever since she worked at Baskin and Robbins in high school.

Did I mention it was hot? I think this man was offering up his do-rag clad baby to jebus in exchange for a little rain. 

We had fun even though the Dodgers lost. Hopefully I will make it to more games. Preferably in shady seats!!
